List of Perks in Modern Warfare 2
Along with standard perks in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, players who use the perks in certain ways can unlock extra special abilities in addition to the original perks. Here’s a list of second level perks for Modern Warfare 2.

The Perks
First Tier
This tier affects players in terms of Movement Speed (Sleight of Hand/Marathon), Ammunition (Scavenger) and Equipment selection (Bling/One Many Army.
Marathon
* Unlimited sprint. (Replaces Extreme Conditioning)
o Marathon Pro: Climb ladders and vault objects faster.
Sleight of Hand
* Faster reloading.
o Sleight of Hand Pro: Faster aiming down the sight or scope.
Scavenger
* Resupply from dead bodies.
o Scavenger Pro: Extra mags upon spawning. (Replaces Bandolier)
Bling
* Allows two attachments to primary weapon.
o Bling Pro: Allows two attachments to secondary weapon.
One Man Army
* Allows class switching ingame. (Replaces secondary weapon)
o One Man Army Pro: Faster class switching.
Second Tier
This Tier deals with the effects on Damage (Stopping Power/Danger Close), Movement (Lightweight) and bonus effects on Killstreaks (Hardline/Cold-Blooded).
Stopping Power
* Increased bullet damage.
o Stopping Power Pro: Increased damage versus vehicles.
Lightweight
* Move faster.
o Lightweight Pro: Quick aim after sprinting.
Hardline
* Killstreaks require 1 less kill.
o Hardline Pro: Deathstreaks require 1 less death.
Cold-Blooded
* Makes the user invisible to enemy thermal optics, and enemy killstreaks. Possesses the powers of UAV Jammer and Camouflage.
o Cold-blooded Pro: No red crosshair or name when targeted.
Danger Close
* Increased explosive damage. (replaces Sonic Boom and Fireworks)
o Danger Close Pro: Increased damage from killstreak rewards.
Third Tier
This tier effects the enemy players equipment (Scrambler/Ninja/Sitrep)and gives players a tactical advantage in combat (Steady Aim/Commando/Last Stand).
Commando
* Increased melee lunge distance.
o Commando Pro: No falling damage.
Steady Aim
* Increased hip-fire accuracy.
o Steady Aim Pro: Breath can be held longer during sniping. (Replaces Iron Lungs)
Scrambler
* Jams the enemy radar when they are close enough.
o Scrambler Pro: Delays enemy claymore explosions.
Ninja
* Makes Player invisible to the Heartbeat Sensor.
o Ninja Pro: 4x quieter footsteps. (Replaces Dead Silence)
SitRep
* Detect enemy explosives (Claymores and C4) and Tactical Insertions. (Replaces Bomb Squad)
o SitRep Pro: 4x louder enemy footsteps. Ninja Pro does not cancel out perk.
Last Stand
* Use a pistol while bleeding out prior to death.
o Last Stand Pro: Use your equipment in Last Stand.
Trivia
* There were rumours on the internet of a “monkey man” perk on Call of Duty: World at War, allowing the ability to climb trees, although there has never been any evidence of the perk.
* The monkey man perk was even more convincing after a glitch on Makin was found, allowing the player to jump on top of a tree.
