Fight Night round 4 Review
Fight Night Round 4 was one of the most anticipated fight games of 2009. Fight Nights predecessor had already set the standard a few years earlier with its refined HD graphics and what it brought to a living room gaming experience. Many changes however occurred during the making of Fight Night Round 4. They’ve made changes to the career mode, they’ve changed the control mechanics, and they’ve reshaped every move in the game by doubling its speed and adding an all-new physics system.
So does Fight Night Round 4 live up to expectations or does it take one on the chin and fall face-first to the mat?
To answer that question, not only does Fight Night Round 4 live up to the expectation, it sets the bar even higher! Once you’re in the ring it is an experience that no other game can provide and it is, in a word, untouchable. Punches fly at an
alarming rate, boxers move around the ring while cascading lights from flash bulbs streaks across their bodies. Punches land with bone crushing sound effects and cuts and bruising are soon to follow.
Everything in the ring is driven by the new physics engine and it’s very nearly flawless. Not only is the game play addicting but the graphics are so life-like it makes you feel like you are in the ring with the fighters. The amount of detail that went into this game is ridiculous as you can see almost every bead of sweat come from the boxer’s body as well as a few drops of the occasional blood.
We can totally be sure that this franchise will continue to build on these revolutionizing standards it has set with Fight Night Round 4. It will be very hard for any competitors to even have a chance against it and it should be a challenge on making Fight Night Round 5 even better.
